If you have not heard of Anthony Gianacakos, then you need to hop on over to his website now! You’re missing out! He’s got a great profile of rooms he’s worked on and I loved every project.
I love this living room. I thought it would be a good room to discuss because it seems so everyday normal(kind of), but it’s also got some cozy fall appeal. It’s so cozy without being so dark. The blue on the wall is just a fantastic shade and I love how it’s pared with a merlot(or is it burgundy? It’s hard to tell in these pictures. It looks different in a couple of them) colored curtain. This carefully curated room just makes me want to get up off the couch and explore everything. I mean, look at that wall gallery. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I have been obsessing over wall galleries lately, particularly since moving into our new home. There’s also a natural feel to the space. The wood fireplace mantel has an oak look to it and there’s the faux fur throw. At the same time, it’s got a glamour touch to it-the gold framed mirror, the antique tea collection, and the polished chrome on the side table. That rug is pretty awesome, too.

By the way, have you guys noticed that advertising for Thanksgiving is basically non-existent this year? Maybe nobody else does, but I still appreciate family gatherings and big dinners-even if I don’t eat a lot. Are people so disconnected that Thanksgiving is losing its meaning? I hope not.
