Don’t you just love a good couch loaded with pillows? And those mats in the picture frames? I’m not sure I would have thought to do any kind of brown tones, but it looks great how it’s all pulled together here. The pictures all look like sepia tones, but it’s difficult to tell if that’s the case or if it really is black and white. I’m also loving the polk-a-dotted lamp shade to the left in the photo above with the blue lamp base. It adds to some fun in the living room, right along with the purple pillows.
Alexa Hampton is an expert at layering a room and once again, it looks spectacular here. These blue walls are just perfect and I think it’s one of the things that draws me to this room. This manages to be light, cozy, interesting, yet simple all at once. Click here to get the rest of the tour.
If you haven’t read any of her books, you need to! At least the Decorating in Detail one, though I say that because it’s the only one I’ve read. Shame on me! But, I wrote a post on my review of this book here. Have you guys read her other books?
