The Spotlight: Whimsical Entryway

beacon hill townhouse design

Talk about a striking first impression the moment you walk in through that door. That wallpaper is called “Daydream” by Julia Rothman for Hygge & West. And how about that vintage Italian lantern from Upstairs/Downstairs Antiques? I’m not sure I’ve seen anything exactly like it. I love how the striped stair runners and the door ties in with the wallpaper. That tribal rug. At first I didn’t like it with the rest of the room, but the longer I look at this picture, the more I love that it adds personality to the entryway. It’s the punch of color to break up the monotony color of blue. It’s the traditional aspect of the room to ground all this airy whimsical personality.
