And that’s the truth. There are days when I feel like I’m riding this train (called Life) that’s flying down the tracks at 100 mph and it’s a major gamble to figure out which one is going to be my next step before I miss the chance. Or to even plan what my next stop will be. Sometimes I feel like even when I’m planning, time is going by so fast that I’ll miss it. It’s too easy to get caught up in trying to keep up. Everyone should have the privilege of having a second home in the country to escape the fast lane and disconnect to reconnect with themselves to figure things out. I definitely don’t have it all figured out. I’m just trying to enjoy the view on that train while checking out all the stops. Right now, I’m looking for a stop that makes the most sense in the next step for me to become an interior designer. In the meanwhile, working on this blog helps me to learn and focus on the interior design business. It never hurts to learn who the experts are and to try to learn from them. Inspirational Words: Thoughts on Luxury
This quote is exactly how I look at luxury. To me, luxury has never been about having the biggest mansion or having 10 fancy cars. It’s not about having all the expensive things. It’s about quality. It’s about being surrounded by beauty and what makes me happy. It’s about spending quality time with my husband and my dog. It’s about appreciating someone’s handiwork on a vintage rococo furniture. It’s appreciating the way the world is when you’re traveling. It’s taking the quality time to grow a garden and admiring it some time later. It’s appreciating the good food that’s been cooked. It’s a luxury to live a life in which you can appreciate things and take the time to be grateful for such a life.

Inspirational Words: Dreaming to Plan
I find this to be very true. A lot of us start out dreaming about the kind of life we want to lead. Only some of us stop to realize that we dream so much about it, that we might as well do something about it. I love to dream about things. Sometimes I even have actual dreams about those things. But, I do need to remind myself from time to time to do something about it and I find that I get better at it as I get older. Probably one of my longest dreams I’ve had is to go over seas and in a matter of weeks, it’s about to happen. Action is what makes you a good story teller and helps to live life to the fullest.

Inspirational Words: Experience
That’s why I travel. There is no better teacher than experience. It’s also why we’re traveling out of the country for the first time. We have never seen any part of South America and we have never seen a rainforest. We could just stay home and read books on traveling or listen to the story tellers of their travels, but I know from my own experiences that in regards to traveling, it just doesn’t have the same impact on you. Words could not prepare me for the awe that I would feel the first time that I saw how deep and grand the Grand Canyon really is. I had heard about the Grand Canyon. I had seen pictures. But it really is nothing like seeing it in person. I can’t wait to see what will knock my breath out in Costa Rica!
