You know what the best part about summer is? The sun staying out longer with us.

It makes me feel happier and more productive to have these long days, like I have more hours in a day. One of these productive moments is getting our outdoor space together. We’ve been getting in the mood to host a few parties soon, but even the best abled-body needs somewhere to sit. At least in the patio area to start because when the sun starts going down, those killer mosquitos starts coming out for a meal or ten, sending us running for the screened in porch.

Bohemian Summer Moodboard

Oh, the long days of lounging in the hot summer sun and getting sunburnt are back! Once Memorial Day’s weekend has passed, it feels like summer has really begun. Tired of Boring Side Tables? Get One in Color!

Choosing a side table in color was actually not my first choice. Oddly enough, it was never my first choice in any of my designs on Olioboard. Side tables are very rarely the star of the show. I prefer to let the colors shine through on walls (even if it’s gray or black), arts, pillows, couches, chairs, rugs, accessories, and lighting (such as lamps, etc.) Side tables are an important part of the living room, but they’re so versatile that I don’t think they would make or break a room per se.

8 Different and Beautiful Green Kitchens

I might be a little late trying to jump on the bandwagon about Greenery, the color of the year, but better late than never!

I was not surprised when they announced a shade of green as color of the year. Green has been rising in popularity and it was particularly noticeable to me the more I saw a variety of green shades in kitchens recently.
